      Long hours with extremely low wages, unsafe working conditions, a group of managers that do not want you to succeed, racist/sexist cliental, the job listing is deceptive. You WILL be doing the works of over five different jobs with zero support.

      84 Lumber Manager Trainees are training to become store managers one day. Store Managers need to be able to do any job inside an 84 Lumber store. Manager Trainees also need to learn those jobs. 84 Lumber associates do work indoors and out doors. We offer most full time store associates at least 48 hours per week. We pay overtime on everything over 40 hours. Safety is a top priority at 84 Lumber. Stores are inspected by a safety manager on a regular basis.

      Decent salary for higher positions.

      Cons

      Toxic work environment which includes working in extremely hot temperatures, no breaks allowed, upper management speaks abusively to employees, work space does not follow OSHA standards. There is no room for career advancement. Company is concerned with profit. When issues are addressed or concerns are presented, upper management belittles employees. There is no work-life balance.
