Pros

You learn a lot of great knowledge on the some of the basics of construction and the details that go into how things such as windows and doors are manufactured.

Cons

Nepotism is a big red flag for me. Also the amount of pay does not justify the amount of work and long hours you put in on a weekly basis. Big box stores like Home Depot and Lowes have an adequate number of employees to satisfy all customer needs. At 84, there are only 8-14 employees that handle all the daily operations. If one person is out for any reason, it puts a huge strain on the other employees. If you're a single person with no outside activities you do during the little time you have off, this is the job for you. If you love your family, find something else that will allow you to have time with them.
