      Worked really hard, in a promising industry, but disappointment at the end

      Pros

      Products competed in promising industries - ADC/security. Speaking from the engineering side, it was really flat and unstructured. If your personality and working style are liked by the leadership, you would get quick promotion. So there's opportunity for career growth. If you like to work in the networking field, you would get a lot of exposures in different areas and learn great amount of skills (hopefully those skills can still be useful for a number of years). You would get a lot of experience working under pressure. People were generally very nice and willing to help. Benefit was decent.

      Cons

      Most of the financial problems (declining rev, rising costs) were caused by the engineering, IMO. Engineering leadership (including CEO) always made you feel frustrated. They don't generally listen, and speak with logics few people understand. Some managers liked to bark in the ears to drive people to work harder. Too many random projects and quality couldn't be maintained. Big projects were pursued due to political reasons, and even everybody knew it's useless, it had to be worked on. No product management, at all. Vision was built in the cloud - never think about execution. Moral was getting lower and lower, but senior management thought they could turn it around just by talking.

      Pros

      Good engineers with great dedication. Free dinners bagel fridays Somewhat good benefit. Overall good products

      Overworked Never appreciated Just work harder Many favoritism shown in the workplace so no way to grow in this company

      Ok company with some silicon valley perks but overworked like an asian company
