Pros

Easy job with no chance of being fired

Cons

Horrible environment if you want to grow and expand your skillset. Low pay with even lower yearly raises. Company is filled with tons of nepotism with friends getting friends hired and then using each other to climb and get more friends hired. The culture here is so bad there was a literal lawsuit about unionizing where the company lost and had to pay all the court fees.

Great Benefits but Bad Work Environment

Pros

AAK offers a competitive salary and great benefits. They have switched from experience-based pay to skill-based pay. As a lab tech, you get the opportunity to work with a lot of interesting equipment. The schedule is a 2-2-3, so every other weekend is a 3-day weekend.

Cons

The lab work can become repetitive and tedious. The culture can be stressful because there is a lot of tension between quality and production. The work load is fast-paced, which can become overwhelming. The overall condition of the lab and plant in general is dirty because of vegetable oil everywhere.

Colleagues are friendly and supervisor are open for suggestion for the better of the company. Company with a very good marketing and strategy planning ahead.
