      Good If The Owner is Honest

      Pros

      I started out with AAMCO back in 2004..had great training and mentors back then. Many shops I have been sent to are for the most part meaning well and the customers are treated well. GPS Units much more effective for a good sales person and not the frenzied thinking of what am I going to do without a builder..

      Cons

      Some owners not paying what the techs and managers are worth..long hours up to 60 a week..and commission based..too many comebacks for certain shops..builders just replacing everything driving parts costs up and passed onto customers..

      Company fills a great need for Transmission repair work.

      Cons

      Always have to make excuses of why expectations (car delivery) are not met. Lying becomes a skill that will eat at your own integrity.

      Pros

      Depending on owner and location, you can make decent money. Of course that always goes hand in hand with your skills. Commission based at most centers.

      Cons

      Most AAMCO tranmissions are independently owned. Meaning you get a gready owner chances of you loosing your job and then cheating you put pay is pretty high. When I did work for corporate, I did not have worry if the owner was going to pay. Last AAMCO I worked at was my last and never will return. Neither will my husband who has had same issues and worked 20 years for them. Owner tells you he wants to owner finance the company to you draws upn contract to turn around and scam his way out. Stil has not paid us remainder of check. We lost $20,000 in this scam. Careful who you work for
