Pros

I was perfectly content at my previous job, with perks like unlimited PTO and a snack kitchen — but that place has nothing on AAPC. In addition to offering open PTO and a kitchen full of food, lunch is served M-Th, and fresh coffee and bagels are available every morning. You will not go hungry. Those are great benefits, don’t get me wrong. But you don’t come to work just for the free food. You come because you love your colleagues, you feel understood and supported by your manager and you like working in a collaborative environment — for a business that just. keeps. growing. That’s all available at AAPC. I love the people, I believe in the mission of the company, the work/life balance is second to none (flexible work hours and WFH options as needed), and the compensation is competitive. Needless to say, I’m a fan.

Cons

The office location...isn't great. But I hear we'll be moving sometime later this year. For now, it's really not bad. There is tons of free parking, it's right off the freeway and it's close-ish to downtown.

Pros

Free soup. That was it.

Cons

AAPC started out fine. But that was just in training. Then the benefits started getting cut back. Mainly the free food they provided their employees. Okay, sure, save some money. Whatever. Then, the rounds of layoffs. I worked there for 3 months, and saw 3 ROUNDS of layoffs. 3. Got tired of hearing "we got ahead of our skis a little bit" every time we had to have a panic meeting for the remaining employees. Each time being reassured it was an anomaly. The topper was management changing over for customer service, to Mr. Bill Moon, who has no control over his temper. Nothing like being dragged into a meeting room to be screamed at (I wish I was exaggerating. His face turned bright red from being so upset) over a bad customer service call. No prior conversations or warnings. Then, HR justified his behavior. So, all in all, they don't care about their employees. They just pretend they do because otherwise, they wouldn't have any.

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. As a member of the leadership team I take your comments seriously and I am sorry you didn't have the best experience during your time here. Layoffs are one of the toughest things for employees and a company to go through. We explore every option we can (decreasing vendor spend, reducing travel, etc.) to ensure we are able to protect as many jobs as possible. In these uncertain economic times, I believe all of our employees would rather that we temporarily suspend perks like free food vs. eliminating positions. Thanks again for taking the time to leave this review and we wish you the best in your career.

Pros

I've worked for AAPC for over a decade. They are a growing company that does not micro-manage. Great flexibility and benefits!

Cons

Pay could be better.
