Tolerates Abusive and Toxic Managers

Anonymous employee

Business Outlook

Pros

Great benefits; strong and worthy mission

Cons

This organization allows its managers to abuse and traumatize employees. Their HR department serves as a collaborator in the abuse. In one office, managers have repeatedly caused harm, yet nothing is done about it - instead, this behavior is rewarded.

Self Important

Business Outlook

Pros

Tuesday to Thursday are work from home.

Cons

Self important leadership. Limited opportunities for promotions, lack of real purpose of work among staff. Leadership does not walk the talk of the mission of AARP. Lots of staff turnover and HR seems to be in denial of all the openings and staff leaving.
