Pros

Freedom to control what you teach. Interesting because what I teach is always changing - makes you keep up with technology changes.

Cons

A lot of red tape to get purchases or supplies. Don't know whether class will happen until 2 days before start of semester because attendance may not be high enough or course may be reassigned to full time faculty.
