Pros

Flexible schedule. You can choose the hours you work as long as you meet your billable hours for the month. They understand the job can be hard and demanding, so they try to make your billable hours achievable, so you can enjoy time to yourself and you family. Your co-workers will become family, and the work environment is friendly and uplifting and we are always cheering for each other. Rather than being reprimanded for a mistake or something that didn't work as planned, they use it as learning experience and help guide you through it. ACES truly a team and I am happy to be apart of it. It has grown a lot and is always trying to improve the quality of life for their employees.

Cons

Pay is lower compared to other companies. They do not pay the competitive rate which leads many behavioral therapists leaving and some supervisors. They also only give you two sick days. If you have children, you better be saving those two days for them.

Pros

- friendly co workers - supervisors are responsive most of the time -flexible when it comes to your schedule - ipad is provided - paperless data

Cons

-not enough hands on training. I REPEAT--- MORE HANDS ON TRAINING! - I feel like I have no idea WHAT I am doing in the field. Yes, we are taught 40 hours of THEORY but it is a compeltely different animal when using that knowldege out in the real world - Not enough time spent with supervisor when you reach out and let them know that you are having a hard time - Other coworkers that have just started have expressed that they are having difficulty obtaining enough hours - Working in a school setting-- No one seems to be on the same page with the behavior plan when it comes to teachers, school staff, and school district IEP . Expectations on the role of the BI should be explained clearly to EVERYONE - HR is VERY slow to respond. Often taking 3 days to respond to emails or NEVER responding at all. This is NOT a unique experience. It's best to call them directly if you want a response. - If you want to promote you have to be proactive. Not necessarily a con but just be aware of that.

Thanks for your thoughtful review. Our employees are the heart of everything we do and we try to be flexible with their busy lives. Your candid feedback on training is also appreciated. Our supervisors provide crucial training to our team members and we are always looking for more opportunities to host hands-on training sessions. I'd love to hear more of your ideas. Pros

I have created some of the best friendships while working with ACES and even though they are no longer with the company, the bond has continued outside of work. The BCBA on my cases if one of the most influential supervisor that I have had the chance to work with. She ties the task list items to what I am currently implementing with the clients.

Cons

Due to have many ASG (Medicare) cases, my work load is predominately direct work. Adjustments or additional indirect hours should be compensated to prepare materials or review programs for ASG cases. No compensation has been provided to prepare materials or create digital data books for ASG cases, it is prepared on my own time. Management lags before intervening to help lower management on cases where clients families are not following the rules and policies towards staff. Kaiser ESBA ratio is 50/50, but ACES wants 70% direct and 30% indirect.

Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time give your feedback. We value each and every feedback given! We are pleased to hear your peer experience has been so influential. We work very hard to make sure that each customer service experience, whether internal or external is met with heart and passion. In regards to ASG cases, ACES holds to the highest standards incorporating the BACB standards when setting supervision requirements regarding indirect hours, our interpretation of code definitions in our contracts, and the CPT codes. Please feel free to reach out to me so we can discuss this in greater detail. In regards to client families breaking the rules, we appreciate that you recognize how important an issue this is and don’t want any staff to feel like they have to deal with those issues alone. Holding families accountable takes the entire team understanding the issue and being on board with the solution. Please reach out to your manager and/or director immediately when you have concerns and ensure they help you develop a plan at your monthly meetings. If you still feel you are not receiving the support you need in a timely fashion, please feel free to reach out to acescommunications@acesaba.com so we can problem solve.
