Pros

Free food during busy season

Cons

This place is incredible totalitarian. Take this review with a grain of salt because some of my complaints are things that come with any sort of call center job. First you are micromanaged to death with a system called adherence where you have to take scheduled breaks at very specific times, it doesn't matter if your breaks are off schedule due to client calls. You must report anything you do. Calls are obviously monitored so you're evaluated on that as well You are also evaluated on how many points you can collect on an internal site based on things like how many posts you like or how many posts you comment on. One of many metrics that are completely irrelevant to your actual work You go through a 10'week training that doesn't help you very much in the job After training, you're thrown on phones with clients who ask a billion questions that you do not have answers to. Good luck calming your nerves when you've got a client on hold for over an hour and you can't find any assistance You're given an hour a week to work on cases. The people that implement these rules know nothing about the job you're actually doing. In between back to back calls and dealing with previous cases, you don't actually have time to deliver good customer service Ultimately, you're another cog in the machine for this big corporation.

Pros

Strong infrastructure supporting virtual workers; good training opportunities, particularly for those newer in corporate roles; constant changes in industry and technology, allowing growth for those seeking to broaden and strengthen careers. ADP is a dynamic company and a good organization that wants to do the right thing for people.

Cons

My biggest downside was the lack of work/life balance - not only for me personally, but within divisions of the company there were vast differences in required time on the job. Constant re-organizations and shifts in processes added to the stress for mid-level managers as well as those who are client-facing. Within teams, you find people striving to help others, but there are silos across divisions that make coordination and client support hard.

Pros

The ability to have flexible work time is great. The benefits are also excellent. Great place, if you strive for mediocrity and yearn for bureaucracy.

Cons

Progressive policy to offload experienced non-minority Americans in favor of H1b visa & very junior technologists while putting business units at great risk. The "ethics hotline" has proven fruitless. If annual reviews happen, they are on scale of 1 to 5. They are rejected by upper management if over 3.5. Upper management must be told what they want to hear, not the truth. To tell the truth will end your career; literally had 7 bosses in 10 years. The greatest impediment to getting work done is company bureaucracy. Agile methodology is very twisted here and used as a micro-management tool.
