Pros

The ADP business model is very simple and uncomplicated . Get client's payroll business, make a little money ongoing, mix and stir. All roads leads to getting a company's payroll business. However for the past 5 years, there's been a big noticeable shift to be more of a "Consulting" firm versus a "Processor". That's not an overnight process, but with Carlos Rodriguez at the helm, it's great. He's the people's choice CEO. And the people that gravitate to him are people you WANT to walk for on multiple personal and professional levels. With the recent acquisition of the RightThing and their inroads into the BPO market, they are making a name for themselves above and beyond just running payroll. Pluses - No brainer business model - Job security. Tenure at ADP is crazy. You're still a baby if you have less than 20 years of service - Lots of internal opportunity. 57,000 worldwide employees means you have 56,999 job opportunities. - Networking opportunities. Thousands of companies using ADP and all those clients have jobs and contacts that open up even more opportunities. - passionate service oriented people are the most successful at ADP - locations all over the country and heavy reliance on people working remotely from their homes - Business decisions are made for business decisions. - I highly recommend this place for those in mid-career. - It's a way cool place if you are GLBT

Cons

You need to understand the pros above first and you can find your cons. - It's not a glamorous business model. Margins are thin at times so you can see the cheapness throughout the organization. - lots of tenure means that it takes forever to weed out the bad hires. - 57,000 employees in SILOS. - ADP hasn't historically invested heavily into it's systems and IT SHOWS. Don't be coming here if you will get shell shocked seeing COBOL source code from the 60's still in use today. - Did I say they were cheap? - This is not good for fresh college faces. You'll fit right in if you love 90's, 80's pop culture.

Pros

Always has a plan & rewards employees for meeting goals. Goals are in line with the overall company goals & good communication from management. Values training.

Cons

Salaries are lower than normal for their positions; a trade off for the stability & other perks.
