Very nice and talented people to work with but very disorganized company overall

Very nice projects, lots of flexibility with good work-life balance as you could work home as needed to take care of family errands, and very nice and talented people to work with around the globe. Chance to work on projects at the national and international level and travel overseas.
Cons
Very disorganized company overall. 1. IT is a nightmare. If you have issues with softwares right before a deadline, good luck! 2. Titles seem meaningless and your boss could be someone that does not know what you do and in a different office. 3. No recognition for hard work at all by upper management. They even try to have your same level colleagues be the ones to give you a pad on the back, but your actual manager offers very little recognition. In the couple of years I was there I was never told whether I was doing a good job or a bad job until I resigned and then everyone came out to say how good I was to the firm asking for what they could do to keep me. Too late at this point. 4. Some project managers which they use to run project financials and be the direct contact with the client have VERY little technical knowledge of all disciplines. 5. Communication is bad from project managers to project design team. 6. Design teams are never involved in the pursuit of projects and even in budget creations. You are just notified and thrown into the project and given a budget you were never a part of after the contract has been signed with the client. 7. Health insurance is TERRIBLE for the size of this firm. 8. No performance yearly bonuses. 9. Yearly reviews are very poor and raises are usually 2-3% only regardless of how good you are or how much effort you put into your projects. Again, no recognition. 10. They will do massive layouts in offices even during this good economy.
