Pros

It's a Good Company when there is work to be done. Since the economy dropped off so has the work. The insurance is fairly good and they have 401k for what it's worth.

Cons

Here's the bad new. 1. Like I said, if there is work to be done it good. The work share is a joke, prepare to start looking for another job. 2. Don't ever question your manager. HR is a joke about personnel issues. 3. If you are being harass or threaten by your supervisor, start looking for other work. Again HR is a joke. File a complaint against management and expect to be "laid-off". Don't rock the boat even if you are in the right and have proof it or HR will sweep you under the rug and out the door.

Pros

As a software developer, my peers at AECOM were smart, enthusiastic and opened minded. The engineers, architects and draftsmen I shared office space with were some of the nicest people I've ever met, and my immediate supervisor went above and beyond to support me. At the implementer and lower management levels I think AECOM has some great talent.

Cons

The middle and upper management seemed to be disconnected from the relationship between output and morale. Investments in professional development and critical software tools were forbidden. For example, I had an expired license for Adobe CS3, a routine scan of system software revealed it and IT asked me to remove it. Since I used it in the course of my duties, I requested a new license for Adobe CS6 but was rejected due to the expense and told to keep using my expired license.

Pros

There are none except it pays the bills

Cons

Upper management is full of incompetent overpaid people who stare at billable projections and decide who to lay off by a spreadsheet. They are completely clueless. They should concentrate on getting work, these are suppose to be the so called experts with the most experience and technical expertise. Instead the employees are responsible to get there own work. Office managers are just as incompetent and don't do a single thing to get new work. They wait for the phone to ring or call other offices if work is available. Wow! That's a genius marketing plan, I can see why they make 6 figures!?
