the only way to get recognition or a raise is to threaten to quit. Management would rather punish lower level employees for not being billable than to work with them and encourage sharing hours.

This company is horrible. They bought the competition four years ago and have systematically dismantled the entire company. Employees are fleeing in droves. At time of merger there were almost 100k employees. Now they will not let anyone know how many are left. Benefits declined while costs skyrocketed. Company in constant state of transition. Corporate management is draining the actual working offices while middle management is full of yes men and cowards. Formerly good peoole have lost their souls and become terrified puppets. No one trusts anyone. Vendors are paid very slowly and outsourcing majority of payable and personnel services to Philippines has been substandard. Do not work for this company. There are too many good companies hiring.
