Pros

Mmm? ...There are some talented and pleasant people who work here. However, they are not encouraged to be kind or to express their talent freely. Nor are they rewarded for their talents or dedication. They will likely be ushered out the door shortly.

Cons

There are so many... - this is an uncoordinated mess without ethical behaviour - while of course the company has to make money, this one does so by overworking employees to the point of exhaustion, with no commendation or rewards for key contributors. - finances, policies, health & safety, inter-office relations are in shambles - this is a company that treats its employees as a disposable commodity. - AECOM is essentially a broker of people. It's a sweat shop. If you can handle that sort if arrangement you would do much better for yourself to consult on your own. AECOM will not do anything for you.

Pros

Was a great company to work for when Maunsell as it was run completely differently than it is today. Some good staff at lower levels although they are sitting ducks till the next round of redundancies.

Cons

Management from group leaders upwards are only leaders by name. Interpretation of results of annual survey (undertaken only a couple of times in my seven years at the company) insults staff intelligence. Staff have no confidence in management ability. Culture of blame has led to silo mentality and large burden on staff. Extremely low moral. Short sighted retrenchment of talented staff over the past few years has led to skills shortages. Inexperienced staff left to pick up the pieces with next to no support from management. No loyalty. Pay for technical and junior staff is average.
