Pros

Working with great teams. Benefits are competitive to other places I have worked. Pay is competitive to other positions I have held. My manager and team members have bee absolutely fantastic so far. I have really enjoyed being an employee at AFL.

Cons

Not enough vacation time given in my first year compared to other companies I have worked for. One of the most important things to me is work-life balance. Being able to take time off without having to worry too much about my vacation balance is important to me.

Pros

After meeting AFL at my local college job fair, I put in a general application with their HR department. They called me in for an interview and everything went very well. I had applied to over 30+ companies in the Greenville/ Upstate area and AFL was the only company who gave me a chance and let me gain valuable experience. I thoroughly enjoyed everyone I worked with at AFL. Even though I am no longer an employee, I reach out on a semi monthly basis to check in on a few friends who I left behind. The family aspect is very much present at AFL. The job I was assigned I picked up very quickly and naturally. They did a great job placing me in a role they thought I would do well at. Safety and doing things the correct way was always a high priority in all AFL facilities. Monthly safety talks in the canteen and safety committee meetings are available to all AFL employees. BRAND NEW MACHINERY!! I have never been in a place that has purchased so much brand new machinery. Most manufacturing plants are still trying to use old, outdated machines which are on their last leg. While AFL plants in Duncan, SC had their fair share of "old timer" lines, they have put a substantial amount of money in new equipment and modern machinery.

Cons

After two years in my role, I began to feel burnt out. Some much work and responsibility was placed on me that I felt myself sinking to the bottom and couldn't recover. After a while it felt like nothing I did was good enough and they wanted more more more.
