Pros

1:1 patient contact, good benefits

Cons

My employment as a home health nurse at AHN Healthcare at Home revealed glaring issues beyond the flawed pay structure. In addition to the burdensome administrative tasks and unfulfilled promises, the lack of support and hazardous work conditions were deeply concerning. One particularly alarming aspect is that employees are left vulnerable when entering homes infested with rodents, bed bugs, and vermin, without adequate protection or support from the company. Moreover, the excessive hours spent on charting, coupled with the responsibility of patient scheduling, made for an unsustainable workload. The expectation to track down patients who failed to answer calls added an additional layer of stress and responsibility, further encroaching on personal time. The on-call responsibilities further exacerbated the work-life balance issues, leaving little room for rest or recuperation between shifts. In conclusion, the combination of unsanitary work conditions, overwhelming administrative burdens, and lack of support from AHN Healthcare at Home renders it an untenable option for healthcare professionals seeking a fulfilling and sustainable career.

Pros

Managers who have failed up. Pizza parties Free use of bathroom facilities if in an office.

Cons

My experience with AHN Healthcare@home was deeply disappointing, especially regarding their handling of medical needs of employees, their families and employee rights. During my time there, I witnessed and personally experienced how Directors, managers, and HR collaborated to create a hostile environment for employees who needed to use medical leave or take legitimate sick days. Despite being a federally protected right, management seemed to treat those who utilized it as a burden. Employees were met with passive-aggressive behavior, exclusion from projects, or outright retaliation. In my case, I was discouraged from taking necessary time off, and when I did, I faced increased scrutiny, hostility, and an environment that made it impossible to perform my duties effectively. HR, instead of acting as a neutral advocate for employees, appeared complicit in these practices, often siding with management and failing to investigate complaints thoroughly. This lack of accountability fostered a toxic workplace culture where employees felt unsupported and fearful of using their legally entitled benefits. While the company has many amazing clinicians, their treatment of employees who prioritize their health and well-being is deeply flawed. I would not recommend this organization to anyone who values a supportive and equitable work environment.

Pros

You work remote, and If youre a person that likes to cause issues and get rewarded by it, this is a job for you!

Cons

Unfortunately most of senior management/HR has favoritism with workers thats been given chance after chance. They say they care about your work issues and want to fix them but dont believe that because its not true. The senior management only cares about themselves here. They will let you THINK they are doing something to help you, until months go by and you are still dealing with the SAME issues then it turns into years dealing with it, and the way HR speaks to people is highly unprofessional. You are constantly spoken down to with not one care in the world. The disrespect here is UNREAL.
