AJ Tutoring Response

I'm really sorry that you feel this way about your time at AJ Tutoring. We take everyone's feedback to heart, and it seems like you didn’t have a good experience here. I want to directly respond to a few points you raised: we pay our employees for all hours they work, and we strive to support all of our staff in their personal and professional endeavors. I encourage anyone with feedback or concerns to reach out to our HR director or any member of our leadership team. Regardless, I'm sorry for how things turned out here and wish you the best of luck with your future career.

Pros

If you like tutoring, this is a place to tutor students.

Cons

Some of the offices have good private and quiet tutoring areas, but other office locations have group areas where other tutors' and students' voices are distracting, which never felt fair given how much they charge clients.

Pros

As a first job, it will get you into some good habits: managing your own schedule, tactfully handling difficult customer interactions, etc. Also, the tutoring itself is a blast.

Cons

Inane, insultingly repetitive meetings are mandatory. Corporate drivel is tactlessly and endlessly drilled into your head; upper-management does not trust middle-management or employees to think for themselves at all. It doesn't help that you are required to do a lot of busy tasks for free and then told it's for your own good.
