      A lot of genuinely good/smart people work there

      Cons

      The Sydney office is dying due to mismanagement. 20 devs got laid off in January and another 20 just now. Some of those were fresh grads who started after the first layoffs. No town halls this year... We were doing interviews for intern and grad roles for this Summer which no longer exist and decisions around redundancies were very political (both global and locally)

      Just run from Akuna!

      Half day barista (they can’t afford full time barista!)

      Cons

      Everything else! The management makes too many mistakes and instead of holding themselves responsible for their mistakes, they have done two big redundancies in just 5 months. They expanded as fast as possible and make most of their hires redundant in very short time. I’ve seen all these bad reviews in Glassdoor before joining Akuna but didn’t think it’s that bad and joined them. I regret my decision and now I can see how bad a company can be.
