The only reason I worked for aldi as long as I did was the pay. After being accused of several things I didn't do, I was told (as most employees are) to quit or be fired. I quit. There are many things I disliked about this company. First, you'd have to work some nights til 11pm, then come in at either 530 or 6am the next day, leaving an insufficient time between shifts for sleep. Working with 5 or 6 people total in a store open 7 days a week was ridiculous. No one would help out if you needed to call off. Also, the way we handled food disgusted me. Taking out rotten strawberries and repacking the "good" ones into a new container together? UGH. Not to mention, when we had to load the freezer or cooler, we'd have to take out all of the pallets and leave them sitting in the back room until we were done putting in product. There would be days when frozen food would sit out for upwards of 5 hours. The wages we were paid were great, at first, but you soon realize the truth about they way this company is run, and it's not worth it.

Very high sometimes impossible expectations. There are full loads every day,which isnt a problem unless they arent done by 9, then customer service must be your # 1 priority every hour of every day. There are orders to be done by noon every day which in most stores is impossibe with my productivity requirements and mornings are extremely busy. some weeks are 60 to 70 hours which leaves no time for family. Some of that hoome time is spent doing scheduling and what ever paper work you cant get done during the day. i love my job but sometimes it is just toooo much.
