I got on with the staff and customers and I was a hardworker, worked overtime when short staffed to. I worked on tills, stacking shelves &;fridges and freezers, cleaned to.

Cons

Some staff were lazy and had to be told to do their job.

Pros

Fast-paced environment makes time go very quickly. Camaraderie between associates is nice and helps keep me from quitting. There is always something to do...or should I say there is always too much to do. Pay is good, benefits are excellent. All in all, if you are willing to work briskly non-stop, this job is for you. A good job for the young, strong, self-motivated individual who really doesn't have much going on outside of work. Customers are mostly WONDERFUL and appreciative of the hard work we do. They look forward to seeing me as I do them.

Cons

You will be wearing many hats at ALDI. You will be doing the job of four or five people that would work at a regular grocery store. Expect to stay late during closing shifts, sometimes over an hour each shift. An eight hour shift worked only gets you a half-hour break. They do not give you the two 15-minute breaks also, which can really tire you, considering you work so hard. Expect to sweat during the entire shift, especially in the summer. Everyone complains of body aches. Expect to lift up to 32 lbs. repeatedly over your head to stock shelves at times. It's part of the job. There is no indication of what my yearly raise might be. I'm making the same amount as new employees, and I have been there almost a year. Raises may not keep up with starting pay rates. You will be scheduled to come in at 5 a.m., to unload trucks, and you will be scheduled to stay until at least 10 p.m. to close in the same week. You must be very flexible and there is no steady schedule, so you are very tired most of the days you are off. It's hard to retain employees so you are often short-staffed.
