Long hours regularly scheduled 10-12 hours shifts (3-4 times a week for part-time, 5-6 times a week for full-time)
30 minutes for break no matter how long your shift is
People are constantly quitting and calling out making the job way harder
Managers always want you to move faster because Aldi purposely short staffs to cut costs and to keep the starting pay high and attractive
Don’t fall for the high starting pay it’s not worth being constantly told your going to be rewritten up for not moving fast enough, not just at my store but all managers threaten, being purposely short staffed (2-3 associates and one manager running the store at any given time) and having 5,000+ customers in a day, long hours with short breaks
Extremly physical if you have health problems/ mobility issues don’t try your luck here your going end up injurying yourself or be in constant pain after every shift
Part- time workers work full-time hours with no benefits (32+ hours a week) parttimers should only be working 24 or less according to the company guidelines
Managers inconsiderate with scheduling part- time student workers
Did I mention most of your training is figuring things out as you go with little to no help from ANYONE and if you do something wrong they will be sure to let you know
Just don’t do it most newcomers only last a week or two
This job definitely isn’t for everyone
