Pros

Great company to work for! Coming from another well known grocery store chain, I can tell that by working here the company actually cares for the people who work for them. The benefits are great from 401k, insurance(health, dental, life), paid vacation and sick time, etc.. My manager personally is amazing, we are taught new things everyday in hopes to one day run our own stores.

Cons

Like i said working for the company is great but some days can be 12-15 hour work days just because of the amount of work that needs to be done and the lack of employees. So when we have different tasks that need to be done around the store with only 2 people working a 6 hour work day could quickly become a 12 hour work day. Sometimes it feels as if you are always in the store and never get a chance to be with your family. Even on off days you may sometimes be called in to help out around the store and you already usually only get one day off every week, well at my store(were under staffed). But to me the biggest con has to be the district managers. The DM i had when i first started was one of the greatest people i could have ever worked for but now they are hiring young adults straight out of college and they know nothing about the job. My DM now is at times very intimidating and comes off as not respectful to those under him. I feel like i have to tip toe around him and find myself trying to work around him as much as possible.

Pros

The only pros are the great pay and benefits. I would not recomend this job to anyone, not even my worst enemies.

Cons

Physical work load. Negative working enviroment. Not an adequite amount of time alotted to complete the given tasks. Scrutenized for each and every mistake. Upper management was very unprofessional. Gossip was apart of the every day enviroment. Associates knew about my mistakes before I did because there was no confidentiality policy in place and the store manager felt it was okay to complain about me and use negative comments about me around other employees. I wouldnt recomend this job to anyone that has thin skin. You will be bullied and expected to put up with it because you are payed so well. I was released without any warning so if your looking for a stable job this isn't the place for you. I had zero warning and zero documentation stating what I had done wrong. Im not writing this out of spite, the management was really good at running the floor but not so well at managing and building a team. I was scared for my job each and every day and I never once was latrle and never once called out, which reminds me when I was ill and showed up to work dizzy and throwing up at my store they got angry at me for being sick? I never had such a negative experience in all my years in the workforce.

Pros

Its ok for pay. Benefits are great

Cons

If you are not straight out of school you will not be able to move up in the company. If you jave experience but do not get hired right out of college you are stuck as an assistant. So many assistants have degrees but will never move. The onexperience of the college students is they do not treat people with respect.
