The day after I started, I was informed that everyone had taken a five percent pay cut. Major red flag.... management cares only about metrics. You are replaceable

Pros

ALM is a great company to learn and grow. Multiple people have invested in my development and mentored me during my career here. It’s not as hierarchical as some media organizations. Entry level reporters have similar opportunities to go after major stories as their more senior counterparts.

Cons

The company is laser focused on growth and innovation. But rather than investing in new team members as part of that growth and innovation, they add more and more responsibilities to current employees, leading to heavy, less sustainable workloads,

Flexible work environment, some work from home options, offices across the country and around the world.

Cons

Disconnect between main office in New York and other offices across the country, difficulty transitioning to WFH, not the best employee environment.
