Pros

Co-workers, good benefits, great 401k. Great travel opportunities if your position allows. Local management promotes a healthy work/life balance. Decent pay, but make sure you get paid what you are worth.

Cons

Layer after later of upper management that does not allow local decisions that need to be made on a day-to-day basis. Layers of management want to be responsible for everything without being accountable for anything. Career advancement moves at a snail's pace. Does not follow through with compensation promises.

Pros

Alstom has good benefits. The pay is very competitive. They have a lot of good employees who are team players.

Cons

Their business is strictly dependent on winning contracts, which they don't do a very good job of. Management shows a lot of favoritism. They have a habit of hiring friends and relatives instead of the people that are most qualified for the job.
