Pros

The management team is very understanding and always willing to work with you. They are very patient and the other employees make the experience.

Cons

Hours are dependent on business which is unpredictable and there is little opportunity to create a lasting career.

Pros

Receptionist job is extremely simple, Interesting, successful, rapidly growing global company, with numerous departments that make it run. The people that work here are mostly very nice and helpful. As long as you are consistent and on time, you can stay in this position for years. In fact, many of the people that have worked here for 5 to 25 + years started as receptionists or in the warehouse. They do special things for employees, and belong to Calperks, which gives awesome discounts on all sorts of things.

Cons

Boring. Reception job is a temp position without pay raise. In order to receive an increase in pay or benefits, you have to hope you get hired into another position within the company, which sometimes may not happen for years, if at all. And my LEAST FAVORITE THING: THE SIRIUS STATION THAT PLAYS THE SAME SONGS DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY. I'm talking songs that may not even be on the radio. Or songs by popular groups that have many hits, yet they play the same two songs at least 5 days a week.
