Pros

- Basic average, good benefits (dental, optical, medical, bonus) - Lots of exposure for skills, tools and challenging projects -Free ice creams, corporate rate for lots of vendor, sports activities available

Cons

-High expectations that are hard to achieve, if we voice out the concerns it was always glossed with “it is conpany culture you need to adapt” -Promoting work life balance but didn’t actually practice it. You are expected to work long hours until midnight even on weekends if you are involved in projects. -Office politics, no matter how good you are in doing your jobs you need to be politically aware who to please. -Overtime for projects are not paid only on daily tasks if needed to work extra hours. -Workload is very heavy, yet they are having layoffs and terminating team members despite good performance of company. You’ll feel like there’s no job security if you see what type of people they are terminating - High turnover rate, it will be just another resignation and hiring process. It disturbs team dynamics and focus. - Generational gap, they will be less understanding towards newer generations needs and expect everyone to adapt to company culture - Will mostly communicate in mandarin language eventhough in meetings set up. - Generally, feel less like MNC

Pros

It's a job with benefits,

Cons

The nail in the coffin. AMD is the worst place I have ever worked. It’s not a good company. It’s never been a good company. Don’t be fooled by the inclusive, diverse hype propaganda. It’s a very toxic place to work. Sure, you can make some money, and gain some experience. Just don’t stay too long or you’ll lose yourself. If you have choices, choose the other. If you don’t, 3 things you must do to succeed at AMD. Trust nobody, lie about everything, and if you see something bad headed your way, duck and let it hit the person behind you. If you can do these three things, you will succeed at AMD. Good luck!
