Pros

You get to work with a dog.

Cons

Complete lack of leadership from the top down. The company only cares about their profit and loss statement. They will from time to time depending on the revenue coming in not approve any overtime even when the work load is high and there aren’t enough handlers to cover all the contracts. When it comes to monthly odor training, Which is required by our certifications with TSA that all dogs go through monthly odor training which is held on a day off usually on a weekend. They require you to be there. They will only allow you to charge a certain number of hours although you will most likely be over that amount depending on how far your commute to the training center is. The dogs are great they do their job very well for the most part. Other then obedience there is zero attention or even attempt to address obedience issues in many dogs. They leave it to the handlers to deal with. Weather it be a dog that has had a clear track record of biting they will still allow that dog to go on contract and if that dog does end up biting someone it is the handlers fault not the company's. They will give you a dog that is clearly not friendly with other dogs knowing you have other dogs at home and now it is your problem to deal with. This company is all about making money regardless of the well being of the dogs or the handlers. They will keep a dog on contract with major health issues that has been brought up by the current handler. Take that dog from them give them a different dog and then put that same dog with health issues back out with a different handler in a different city. Management doesn’t care about their employees or the dogs they only care if you can make to work or not regardless if your sick or what have you.
