Cons

Many open shifts, especially on Fridays and Saturday. Very busy environment.

Flexibility as per-diem is unparalleled. Great place to get clinical experience for future medical careers. Able to get most continuing education through company.

Cons

Despite call volume, pay rate is low for the area. Supervisors can be power hungry and unreasonable. Culture can be exclusive especially to part-time and per-diem employees. Asking for help/advice isn't always welcomed.

Pros

Great place to put your foot in the door. Great pt contact and assessment experience. Good place to get familiar with driving ambulances. The scheduling is pretty good if your on top of it.

Cons

Pay isn’t the greatest. Dispatch pounds you with calls with little to no breaks and holds you over your clock out time. Nurse treat you like your invisible. Minor favoritism.
