Pros

The wage wasn't too bad.

Cons

Management was horrible. When one manager told me one thing, another would tell me something different but I was the one who would get in trouble. My first impression of the company was also bad--they had a 19 year old kid leading the orientation and he was unprofessional and half the time didn't know what he was talking about. Also, what kind of company doesn't terminate EMTs for not applying AED pads and performing chest compressions while running a code? This one.

Pros

Quality pay (especially if you have experience), I was pleasantly surprised with the salary they offered me! Management team is impressive. The training for new hires is extensive and high quality, and on the job training is ongoing and extensive. Quality controls are in place. It's interesting...I worked for AMR roughly 20 years ago, and the place was sort of a mess. So I was surprised and happy to find that they've improved a lot in all areas. I enjoy my job, I like my boss, and would recommend this company to anyone seeking a job in EMS.

Cons

Staffing is a problem, both in dispatch and in the field. It's common to be short-staffed and struggle with the call volume.
