Employees Treated Poorly

Pros

Pay is higher than average for EMT’s. Health Benefits negotiated in Union Contract are on the better side.

Cons

Management has little regard for employee satisfaction. Would rather hire a new person to replace unhappy employees than solve issues. HR does not help much, and just allows issues to continue (note current federal lawsuit against AMR in Connecticut). Some ambulances are well over 400k miles and are in poor condition. Division cuts hours then holds 911 calls forcing what crews are still working to stay late.
