AMR requires you to sacrifice your entire life

You have the opportunity to work as many hours as you would like and make a lot of money in OT hours but you will sacrifice your physical and mental health in the process

Cons

Required to work 240 hours a month. Rotating 24s and additional mandatory overtime of 60-72 hours as well as late hold overs. You will be working 36 hour shifts with minimal sleep 4 hours the entire time is a great shift. You will not be able to have any home life.

Pros

-Flexible hours for school. -Alot of room for growth with programs to help you become a paramedic or nurse. -Contracts with fire departments and hospitals to get your foot in the door with other careers - highest paid ambulance company in the county

Cons

Toxic work environment. Employees are so lazy that they would have gotten fired from McDonald's on their first day let alone working as an emt for 2 years. It makes it hard for those of us who are trying to gain pateint care experience especially since most of us are emts as a stepping stone for experience.
