Pros

Pay for their 911 contract is great @ $21.63.

Cons

Management is TERRIBLE, DISRESPECTFUL, DISHONEST. Pulled off a scheduled 911 shift w/o notice, to run their IFT calls at a rate of $15.09 ...consistently and purposely because I wasn't liked.

Pros

Great opportunity for anyone interested in EMS -can run BLS, ALS, CCT Great stepping stone opportunity for anyone interested in allied professions (Fire, PD) or other health professions At least at my location, management was easy to reach and looked out for employees compared to other departments Pays better compared to other private ambulance companies

Cons

Calls right near the end of your shift do happen, causing you to be held over High volume of calls (might not be downside depending on the person)
