Pros

Ventura division is great and functions like a third service for the county. Haven’t heard the same good things about other divisions.

Cons

Some standard private ambulance operations to deal with. Again, ventura division was a lot better than most because of our union.

A good part time job, but lacks the culture where you would want to develop a career

- The pay is fairly good for a part time job - There are so many gaps in the schedule that there is a lot of flexibility - if you want to work, there will always be plenty of shifts and OT to pick up

Cons

- Management can be callous and flippent - Policies change frequently, little consistency - Currently going through major union negotiations - Not much room for growth
