A decent place to work

Pros

Decent pay for relatively little education. In Connecticut, an EMT can earn over $20/hr in a short period of time. Top step medics earn nearly $30/hr. I worked for AMR in CT in both full and part time capacities for over 10 years. Decent schedule and flexible time off. I was always treated well by management.

Cons

If you are full time and have to rely on the company for benefits it can be a little tough. Not terrible but fairly low end. The company is also a little slow to get up to date EMS equipment.

Pros

I like that AMR is nationwide and I can transfer if need be. Competitive pay, good benefits and a positive experience in my division and location.

Cons

Leadership is very busy and hard to get a hold of.
