      Pros

      Excellent medical experience in a fast-paced environment. Develop quality interpersonal skills and make lifelong connections in health care.

      Cons

      Some, not all managers in different levels are not adequate to the positions of leadership. Employer relations to labor are often contentious leading to higher levels of employee dissatisfaction.

      Pros

      Part-Time is flexible.. Driving wheel chair truck is relaxing. Employee benefits are pretty good. It beats working at a grocery store. In our struggling economy, its good to be with a big successful company like AMR.

      The pay is really bad.

      Pros

      I valued my time providing patient care in a progressive ALS system. I was proud to work under my medical program director and for my county. I have marked that I recommend this company for the experience that a medic can gain from the patient care aspect. Great county protocols and crews.

      Cons

      The "for profit" mentality was often in conflict with providing good patient care, as the company often made decisions to cut equipment, personnel in order to maximize profits. Work environment and hazards are hard enough without the company you work for making it harder for you to advocate for good patient care. Field manager was quoted saying "Its cheaper to pay out on OJI than it is to pay for safer equipment."
