Pros

The Day shift starts off with 12.50 per hour. The night shift 13.50

Cons

The training at this place is horrible! There is no training class. The managers and team leads are useless and incompetent. They spend their entire day trying to micro manage when they should dedicate their time to training new employees. If you're looking for 40hrs a week don't count on it. They will send you home early every day due to a low call volume. If you choose to voice your opinion please be aware. The managers and half of the staff are related to each other, so watch what you say. How can 2 managers that work in the same department be related? I thought there was a law against that. I am currently working for these snakes, but everyday I'm applying for other means of employment.

Pros

American Residential Services is a fantastic company that strives daily in providing excellent service to their customers while employees work in a friendly, high-paced, productive atmosphere. ARS provides competitive pay rates, excellent benefits, and a staff that has an open door policy from managers to supervisors. Appreciation for your contribution to the success of the company is something that is freely displayed.

Cons

Employee parking needs improvement, better outlined training program geared towards specific job positions.

Pros

With 24 years in management in Raleigh, ARS has been a first class professional team at all times. Managers care about their coworkers and their customers. There is great opportunity for career development and it if focused on hiring diversity and training. The Raleigh team has always had an open door policy and is deeply involved in becoming the best in the business

Cons

It is important to move more quickly with technology so that technicians and managers may focus more on providing quality service and support rather than be slowed by administrative follow up.

Pros

There were no pros to this job, from my first interview the person that was supposed to be there did not show up and I should have caught sight of their ineptness from that day but I persevered and it only went downhill from there. Poor management, no training program, everything they promised on the application was false.

Cons

Not the place to apply for a sales position, the sales manager does not know anything about sales, makes promises that he and the company cannot fulfill, totally unprofessional in all aspects of business.

Pros

Great family environment, weekly pay, incentive bonuses, ARS Week, growth and advancement opportunities, on-going training. I've worked for ARS for almost 2 years, it's been one of the most successful corporations I have worked for. The Managers believe in their employees and are willing to take risks so the employee can succeed.

Cons

A Great Place To Grow!!!!

Pros

I have been employed with ARS for a little under a year and I have to say that I am very glad that I took the leap of faith and accepted a position here. The most important factor for me was an opportunity to grow because I wanted to bring my past work experience to ARS and be able to use them as a platform for me to be promoted. Well, I was able to do just that and since my initial date of hire, I have been promoted twice. I love the fact that management does their promotion and staffing in house if possible because it is important to boost the employee moral by confirming for them that if they come in to work and really put a solid effort in, they can realistically look to grow with this multimillion dollar company. I also like the fact that there are mandatory training sessions performed throughout the year in order to keep each staff member up to date with the company's expectations (ex. PROS training, safety training, etc.). The benefit package is relatively decent as well which gives us the opportunity to have sufficient healthcare. I was very impressed with the Healthiest You program because I genuinely feel like my company cares about my health and well-being. The staff here is very friendly and understanding and I have actually learned quite a bit about the world of HVAC so I am overall pleased with this company and I look forward to future growth opportunities here!

Cons

I haven't experienced very many cons since working at ARS. I took the position with the understanding that due to the nature of business/service that we provide, some weekends and holidays would be mandatory. Therefore, I would say, that would've been the only apprehension or "con" but I am perfectly fine with the scheduling and have no opposition at this time.
