Pros

None. Don't work here. Toxic workplace and out-of-touch C-Suite changing every 6 months - 1 year.

Cons

- Waterfall development masquerading as Agile (Gantt Charts Galore!) - Pay is mediocre - Discussions of pay will be met with some version of 'we want to hire the right people, not people that want to get paid well'. - Any US engineering hires will quickly replace with India / Argentina-based workers. - None of the interns in the past year have received job offers despite glowing recommendations. - US job listings are now 'hybrid' but they don't consider anyone not near US office locations. - C-Suite likes to market a culture of questioning existing practices to improve processes but makes carte blanc statements like 'no code that's AI Generated' without understanding what AI Code generation could be. - Lack of good management. - Loves process (nothing gets done and it takes 3 months to approve a Pull Request) - Everyone is overworked 10+ hours a day

Pros

Decent (salary is really the only pro I can think of at this point. I used to love working for ASAPP. I was proud even, but now things have drastically changed.

Cons

- they went the india / Sri Lanka route which means huge reorg, surprise demotions so new staff can take over with zero context. - nothing is every enough. Too many demands now. - you speak up to upper management about your concerns and nothing changes. It’s their way or the highway. - culture has gone away completely. No more “family” feel… nobody even speaks unless it’s work-related - CONSTANT changes to process that make it impossible to keep up -ZERO communication from above, especially direct managers -managers passing their work onto others, leaving them scrambling - changes of meetings constantly, notifications about changes late at night in the US because managers are all in Sri Lanka or India - people are afraid to push back on requests because they feel that saying no will result in being fired. - even if people do push back, they are disregarded and pushed even harder. - it’s a unit of management who do not care about employees. - every single long term employee has left due to the misery, and yet nobody in upper management seems to care. -truly terrible.

Pros

Good customers, good salary, good HQ. There's some freedom to choose your team but not much.

Cons

People can be snobby and stuck up, like they invented AI and no other company does it better. Stock options are very limited and many employees disagree on the exit strategy.
