Pros

Deeply technical company. Generally meet a lot of people who know what they are doing

Cons

Everything else. Some so called “engineering” jobs like system qualification and proto are just technician roles sold to new college grads and h1bs as engineering roles. Its a pretty shady practice. Most people who end up in these roles get stuck as such. It’s hard to move out into other roles because of a lack of technical expertise. This is gonna become even harder with the reorganization. And its harder to move to other companies because ASML has a very different product. You could spend years here and your career would go backwards. Some sites in the US also are known for a deeply political environment

Pros

Leader in High tech semiconductors, okay not great benefits, dynamic environment where problems exist to fix if you have the drive.

Cons

Management has been infected(taken over) by former Micron employees, who say they are interested in Quality improvements but have made it worse. They are too passive and end up being very reactionary instead of forward thinking. Give away far too much to customers wasting a lot of money in parts that should be paid for only to get a “good” score from customer. The Micron managers do nothing to lead a team in a direction. Don’t know their KPI’s and don’t care about them. Allow customer to abuse their employees and say they cannot do anything about it. In other words they don’t have the employees back. Give up the farm in the name of customer always right and customer satisfaction, resulting in a lot of wasted effort and cost. Continually cutting budget and now layoffs when their profits are at its best ever.
