Pros

After 20 years at AT&T I can honestly say it was bad job to begin with and it never improved. The lack of respect for skilled workers makes working here very depressing.

Cons

DBAs were replaced by lower paid workers from Tech Mahindra. They are not as skilled as the American DBAs that were let go however that does not matter to AT&T.

Pros

They have good benefits, such as medical, dental, eye, and life insurance. They have a variety of jobs.

Cons

They do a lot of downsizing and that makes it difficult to concentrate on work, when you do not know how long your job will be there.

Pros

free wireline phone as an employee

Cons

The worst management I have ever worked for. Culture is an atmosphere of fear. Failure to hire over the long term has resulted in a stagnant computing environment. This company is far behind all telecommunication and entertainment companies in IT offerings, consumer products. Your skills and dedication will not be recognized at AT&T.
