Cons

employees have been working *mandatory* overtime for 2+ years b/c of understaffing, time off for *any* reason is nearly impossible to get, sick days are unheard of (two absences "allowed" per year - within those two days, any absence occurances require disciplinary action up to and including termination depending on the situation) once released from training, help and development is pretty much unheard of as well, and then, of course, the obvious factor that most customers call in for the most part pissed off about one thing or another and your job is to transition them from a pissed off customer into a buying customer, while being treated like their personal punching bag. oh, and my favorite thing? getting a verbal disciplinary warning when i've gone pee too many times within any given day......fuuunnn......

Pros

They offer a salary and commission

Cons

Because your salary they treat you like they own you. A routinely up the sales quota, making it harder and harder to reach goal. Then on top of that, they utilize people which most industries would be great, but the union has never had to deal with salaried employees or doesn’t care and agreed to a contract that completely takes advantage of that treating us like hourly employees. Tracking your hours is one thing, but they take it to a whole new level of micromanagement. There is no give and take they expect you to work 10 to 12 hours every single day. Their new commission structure is completely burned every employee by making it 10 times harder to even just make ends meet because without the commission the salary is not worth the job. The benefits seem nice until you realize how much they cost even on the top insurance plan for one person I’m paying almost $300 a check for my benefits. I’m gonna go to my doctor and I get told I have $120 upfront they give you a company car and act like it’s a great gift But it’s not when you can only use it for work during work hours. Everything you do is tracked you are never to allow anyone in the vehicle with you even if you have a sick child you will have to drive home and switch to your personal car to go back and pick them up. They treat you like a number constantly under the threat of being fired or laid off making it feel as if you have no job Security.
