Pros

If you enjoy a company that has completely abandoned the idea of a proper place to work, you found it! The CEO has stated the following: -The current generation will not retire -He is working to have 4 people employed and the rest be AI -If you have any qualms with the company you’ve worked 20 years for (simply asking what he planned to do about AI taking jobs) then leave. If you’re looking for leadership, throughout the company, that embody this. You’ll love AT&T.

Cons

I often wonder why AT&T has so many great reviews. Every person I encounter despises their work conditions. The moral has never been lower. I have worked for AT&T since I was 20 (now 31). I have held roles like Area Retail Sales Manager, Integrated Solutions Manager, Mid-Market Client Solutions Executive III, and I can honestly tell you that this company is a garbage fire. As a ARSM (ISM too) I was expected to work 60-70 hours a week. I’ve been screamed at in team calls over numbers like one would scream at a person that murdered their dog in front of them. I’ve had commission blatantly stolen from me (by AT&T, not even another employee) stating that “This sale has been transferred to ## department”. Basically, every aspect that one would try to steer away from with a company, I’ve seen it. All of this, I accepted as a part of life. Then, the constant state of “surplus” disrupted my mindset. I was okay working for a company that mistreated me, as long as I could take care of my wife and kids. As long as I had a future. However Mr. Stank took away the thought of stability. His leadership has brought about a culture in which no one is safe. I now look through these reviews (and LinkedIn) and realize what a toxic part I took at always saying “OMG ATT IS THE BEST” as I was grossly mistreated. I have held expansive leadership roles. Developed countless WONDERFUL leaders. And genuinely done my best to be the best employee possible. This company is deplorable. It is akin to having an abusive partner that you wave their actions aside as they bloody your face. I’m done telling people I fell down stairs. AT&T is not a career. If you are looking for a career, stay clear. I have watched my leaders be surplused, my friends, and so many colleagues. All the best of what AT&T had. People I never expected to leave the blue globe. I hate this company for the 20’s I never had as I worked 70+ hours (salary) to be the best leader I could be to make the best generation of employees possible. I wasted my adult life with this company. Don’t waste yours.

Pros

Says all the right things and generous with benefits

Cons

Does not execute on their values and their only way of cutting cost is by cutting their workforce.
