Pros

It looks good on the resume. & if you can deal with all the hours and bad management then it is good pay.

Cons

I work as a part time Retail Sales Consultant and I absolutely despise this job. As a part timer everything is so unfair! Their only solution? Go full time! At my location part-timers work on average 32 hours a week and full timers work on average 45 hours a week. As a part timer the more you work the less you make. You have goals that you have to meet and if you do not you make less. The more you work the higher your quota is, regardless of meetings, opening, or closing. As a full timer, your quota never changes! Full timer's get a proration for vacation, but part timers do not. Full timers get a 75 cft inducement and even though part-timers have the same goal, their pay out amount is a lot less.
