Pros

Good pay, excellent training, nice people and high integrity. Benefits are very good when compared to other companies. All round good place to work.

Cons

Some things take too long. Allot of people have worked for many years at AT&T and get stuck in their ways. To get to senior management you need to move to Dallas

Pros

Great pay. You are compensated very well. Hourly is very competitive with other retail jobs in the area, but the bonus is that you also get commission on top of it. I knew coworkers that made around 70k+ a year. That's really good for a non management retail position.

Cons

Bad hours if you have a family. To make good commission you HAVE to work nights and weekends. Constant pressure to make sales quotas. Some managers force you to bend selling rules in order to make quotas. I ultimately left the company because I was not comfortable treating customers the way I was being asked to do. It's all about hitting quota.

Pros

I worked 30 plus years at AT&T and have had a good tenure while there. Lots of changes over the last 30 years and more on the way. This will not be the company I hired on with as they have had to change with competition and a growing need for more advanced services.

Cons

AT&T is a union shop and my experiences with the CWA Union were very negative. Additionally, when I was promoted to local first level management it was a nightmare with the micromanagement that was applied by mid and upper management. Goals were established that opposed each other which made life very confusing. Also, lots of favoritism.
