      Pros

      I honestly can't think of a pro that was consistent across the company.

      Cons

      Career advancement was limited by who you knew and whom your team leader was. There was ineffective communication between management and staff, with no indication of improvement. The company was shifting towards a management company, rather that a premier engineering company.

      Pros

      Thank goodness for the dedicated front-line staff who care about keeping the lights on. They understand the company's mission.

      Cons

      Spent many great years at ATC, and took pride in operating, maintaining and building a reliable transmission grid for all the homes and businesses that counted on it. In recent years, ATC executive leadership got swept up in every HR trend, and that's when things began to devolve. There was a very unhealthy priority placed on maintaining the Great Place to Work designation. Excessive use of external consultants. Countless corporate initiatives that created more busy work than any tangible results. Leadership lost sight of the company's core mission, struggled with the budget and reduced staffing. Plenty of others left on their own, in frustration and because of poor leadership and lack of opportunities.

      Diversity of the roles and the purpose of their company are great.

      Cons

      Very poorly managed in breaking out of their own Groupthink. Not lean, not interested in true efficiency. Culture is from 1970.
