Great People & Benefits, But Unhealthy Work-Life Balance

Pros

AVEVA offers excellent benefits, including a comprehensive health plan and generous PTO. The people are the best part of the company. I had the privilege of working with incredibly smart, supportive, and collaborative colleagues.

Cons

If you're in the Services division, the workload is often unmanageable, leading to a poor work-life balance. I frequently had to skip lunch breaks and work 9-10 hour days to keep up, which resulted in significant stress and burnout. As the Executive Leadership has stated verbatim, "you're expected to deliver." The pressure to connect with global teams outside of normal working hours is a common challenge, further blurring the line between work and personal life. Despite being in a role that could be done effectively from home, a mandatory hybrid return-to-office policy was implemented with no flexibility, which seemed unnecessary and disconnected from the needs of the job. Peakon surveys lack true confidentiality, which discourages honest feedback and prevents management from getting a clear picture of employee sentiment.
