      An A/V Company Headed in the Right Direction

      Pros

      Strong industry talent and experience, big name client base, personalized business feel (not just a number), casual work environment, and solid management.

      Cons

      Company wide internal processes and business technology has been put on the back burner for a long time resulting in some very archaic workflows. Fortunately, a permanent solution is being actively pursued which will dramatically improve efficiency.

      Pros

      Hard working people. Best best in the business, AVI-SPL provides an opportunity to be close to the action in the AV industry. It's a great place to learn and grow professionally. Constantly refining our heath care and benefits package shows a commitment to it's employees. AVI-SPL has the best PTO offering of any company I have worked for. Competitive salary with industry. John Zetel seems like a nice guy and while he shows his desire to be competitive with the leading edge of the industry, he also comes off as caring and compassionate to his employees. This company has vision and strategy and will continue to be successful.

      Cons

      This company is too large not to have guaranteed incremental salary increases. Coming from NYC, every major company has approximately 3% annual salary increase. AVI-SPL did this last year, but has been mum about it this year. If they plan on doing this, the word has not trickled down. The 401k match, while getting better every year is abysmal compared to most.

      Pros

      Company has been very loyal to me...Work from home at the moment so that has been vital to my family life.

      Cons

      Salary has been stagnant...Very few raises or cost of living increases...Been here over 5 years. Don't pay for all the internet although I have a 'at home' position. Not much training.
