Pros

Flexible Schedule, Unlimited Upside, Autonomy, Excellent Mentorship.

Cons

Having to rely on your family and Friends for business, blurred lines between work and personal life, 70+ hr work week demands when starting a book of business I worked under Karr Barth in Philly. While senior management was excellent, there were two present cultures in the company, that of the original owners and that of young managers. The young managers were more of a sweatshop mentality, expecting you to work day and night and making you feel guilty for not working a Saturday. You CAN take any day you want off, but you will be guilt tripped away from it.
