Pros

They have a reasonable work life balance. They also care about the advancement and increasing of skills for your career

Cons

The last decade every year the employees were afraid that downsizing was coming. It did not help company morale.

Pros

Great manager, high quality products, good training/development. If you have the right market and put in the work, you can build an excellent career.

Cons

Compensation: base salary is low, and you only get half commissions if you take the salary option (which is often necessary when you first start). Commissions aren't great either, because products are designed with reasonable fees for clients. My health plan seems to be well below average based on my peers. They also treat you like an independent contractor; you have to buy your own computer, pay monthly for their digital software, pay for E&O insurance, pay for marketing materials, pay for certain investment platforms, pay for study materials/sit for certification exams, etc.
