Pros

The kiddos are by far the only pro at this place

Cons

This place is a decent place to start just because it makes your clear that this is the worst place to work at. The BCBA has favoritism 100%, if the BCBA is unhappy with you (ex. If you disagree with something) she will find ANY way to ignore you and avoid. BCBA is non confrontational. This place has a high turnover rate in just months. Due to the treatment we receive from the BCBA as well as the coworkers the BCBA favorites. If I wouldve known how this place would mean, I wouldve avoided it at all costs.

Pros

I will start by saying that the work at ablekids is very meaningful. I enjoyed learning and growing within the field of ABA. The benefits are decent and you are guaranteed 40 hours per week. The client's are treated very well and have a structured environment to learn in.

Cons

Understand as I write this that every ablekids clinic is different but I am writting about my specific clinic and experience. As a former employee, this is the most toxic work environment I have ever been in. The BCBA at my clinic held resentment by refusing to speak to/ignoring specific rbts instead of addressing issues. The turnover rate is high due to the bullying, extremely high demands, lack of communcation, and favoritism within the clinic. At the end of the work day, you are expected to clean the clinic (bathrooms, refrigerator, common areas), complete documentation, and watch clients until dismissal all at the same time. You have no time to document without your client present, so you must multi-task at all times. You have to ask then wait for another rbt, a lead rbt, or clinical assistant to watch your client just so you can run to the bathroom when needed. You must also have detailed documentation using aba terminology and follow the clinic schedule at all times without any breaks on a daily basis. In your last 30 days you lose all PTO, time approved prior to your notice is instantly removed/declined. A 30-day notice is important per policy. If you do not have enough PTO, you can not have any unpaid time, even if you are sick.... future PTO from future checks will be removed from you. You are pressured to work if you are not feeling well, unless the illness reaches company sickness policy standard. The company cares more about money and productivity than employees.

Pros

The people, staff at every level and the smiling faces of our kiddos! Benefits and hours are great. It feels more like a family than a job.

Cons

Not having my office where "the action" is but I'd never get any work done if I was closer to the kiddos!
